LIFE MAPPER Data Management Plan

The first version (Month 12) of the LIFE-MAPPER Data Management Plan — a living, consortium-agreed document describing how research data is collected, described, stored, protected and shared across the project, in line with the FAIR principles and Horizon Europe open-science policies.

Content

The Data Management Plan (DMP) is a key element of effective research data management. This first version outlines the data lifecycle for everything collected, generated or processed within LIFE-MAPPER: data collection during the project; its management, description, storage and the standards applied; and the handling and protection of data both during the project and after it ends.

In line with the FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) and the Open Science policies promoted under Horizon Europe, the DMP records what data will be produced, the methodologies and standards applied, and whether and how that data will be shared. It is conceived as a living document, agreed by all consortium partners and updated throughout the project lifecycle — particularly in response to significant changes in data generation, processing or management. The document is published in English under a CC-BY licence to allow broad re-use.
