What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember information about your visit, like your preferences or the fact that you closed a banner, so we do not have to ask you again at every page.
Life Mapper also uses similar technologies (like browser localStorage) for the same purposes. In this policy "cookies" refers to all of them.
The three categories we use
We split cookies into three categories. You can turn each one on or off at any time from . None of the optional categories are active until you accept them — there are no pre-ticked boxes.

- Plausible Analytics (planned) — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. The toggle is shown so your preference is already on record once the service is enabled.
3. Embedded media
Lets third-party video players (YouTube, Vimeo) load inside our pages. These services may set their own cookies. Off by default.
- YouTube — sets

How to change your choice
Click at any time. You can also use any cookie-management feature in your browser to delete cookies that are already stored.
Rejecting all optional cookies does not break the site: the institutional pages will work exactly the same, and on the Knowledge Platform you will see a small "consent required" placeholder where YouTube videos would normally appear.
